No. TEC AUTO SERVICES is an independent workshop, not owned by or tied to any car brand or dealer. That is why our labour rates and parts prices are lower. We still use manufacturer-level diagnostic tools and parts that meet the manufacturer specification.

We are at 60 Jln Lam Huat, #04-61, Carros Centre, Singapore 737869. Carros Centre is an automotive hub in Woodlands, in the north of Singapore, close to Kranji. It is a short drive from Sembawang, Yishun and Choa Chu Kang, and easy to reach from the rest of the island.

Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 4pm. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays. If you need an early drop-off or a later pickup, WhatsApp us and we will try to arrange it.

Yes. TEC AUTO SERVICES is a European car specialist inside Carros Centre on Jalan Lam Huat, Woodlands. We work on BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Porsche, as well as hybrids and EVs, so owners in the north do not need to drive to the dealer for servicing, diagnostics or repairs.

We service BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Porsche, plus hybrid and electric versions of these brands. European cars are all we focus on, so our tools, software licences and parts suppliers are set up for them.

Yes. We service and repair Mercedes-Benz cars, including A-Class, C-Class, E-Class, GLC and other models. We use XENTRY, the Mercedes-Benz diagnostic software, for fault finding, service resets and coding.

Yes. Before you buy a used BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen or Porsche, we scan every module for stored faults, check for oil and coolant leaks, inspect the brakes, suspension and tyres, and road test the car. You get a clear list of what needs attention and roughly what it will cost, which you can use to negotiate the price.

At an independent workshop like TEC AUTO, a standard BMW oil service costs about S$280 to S$400, against S$400 to S$600 at a main dealer. Front brake pads and discs on a BMW cost about S$520 to S$800 at an independent workshop, and rear pads and discs about S$420 to S$650. Dealer prices run about S$850 to S$1,200 for the front. Pads alone cost less if the discs still measure above their minimum thickness.

Yes. We diagnose first, explain what we found, and give you the cost before we start. If we find something else during the job, we send you photos or videos with a price and wait for your go-ahead. We also tell you when something does not need replacing yet.

Both, depending on the job and your budget. We use genuine manufacturer parts or OEM-equivalent parts from the suppliers that make them for the brand, such as Bosch, Mahle and NGK. We tell you which we are fitting and the price difference before we start.

An authorised dealer workshop is tied to one brand and charges higher labour rates and parts markups. An independent specialist like TEC AUTO is not tied to a brand, so prices are typically 30 to 40 percent lower on labour. A good independent uses the same diagnostic software and parts that meet manufacturer specification. The main reasons to stay with the dealer are free servicing packages and recall work.

Generally, no. In December 2017, after an inquiry by the Competition Commission of Singapore (now CCCS), major car dealers removed warranty terms that let them void a warranty just because the car was serviced at an independent workshop. A dealer can still reject a claim if the fault was caused by the independent work, so use a workshop that follows the manufacturer schedule and keep your invoices.
